1. while coming home today, i ran down to the Ruggles Orange Line platform to try to catch a train. i skipped all the way down to the last car (my preferred because of where it drops me at Downtown Crossing) to try to board there, passing up at least one or two open doors on the way. the doorway i was trying to use was half-broken, meaning that (

riding the red line today, i sat next someone who could have been your twin sister, except her hair was blonde and down past her shoulders. but the pink rain booties were very cute :)
Spotted at Downtown Crossing between the Orange and Red lines: a short Asian kid carrying 3(!) katana running down the platform, all hunched over like the stereotypical ninja. His jacket was flowing in the "wind" behind him, too; I wanted to look around for the movie cameras, but I was trying to catch the same train he was.

the charles river was incredibly still this morning when the red line went across it. i saw some guy rowing out from the esplanade area, and he was the only one making any sort of ripples in the water. eerie, and beautiful reflection of the skyline
